Old Joe painted as traffic official to pay tribute to law-enforcement authorities
TRAC N4 commissioned the painting of Old Joe as a traffic official to pay tribute to the law-enforcement authorities who monitor the roads.
“The new coat was conceptualised in an effort to promote road safety on this national route. We want to make drivers who pass the iconic rock conscious of the fact that they should act responsibly behind the wheel.
Reckless and negligent driving is an ongoing problem and it is imperative that road users start obeying regulations for the safety of all. “Although the N4 Toll Route boasts world-class infrastructure, poor, negligent and disrespectful driving is a battle we keep fighting, because it puts everyone who uses our road at risk,” said Solange Soares, communications manager of TRAC N4.
