Talent displayed at annual Graphic Design Exhibition

There were 19 students from first and second year exhibiting their designs.

Great talent in a form of 3D designs, prints, digital media and drawings were displayed during the Unigrad College annual Graphic Design Exhibition on Thursday.

Unigrad principal, Riaan Loubser said as a follow-up from last year’s theme of “Home is Where the Heart is”, the theme for this year is “Where You Belong”.

“At Unigrad College our students become family and always come back to visit.”
Lousber said the aim of the event is firstly for students to show off their work to their family and friends. “It is hard to explain to others exactly what we do, but when we show them, they are amazed.”

Secondly, it is for industry experts and businesses to scout the talent. “Many students get job offers after this annual exhibition.”

Loubser said the event grows every year in both student development and public support.

“The quality work is produced in all three of the practical core subjects, which are graphic design, 3D design and drawing. Unigrad College prepares the students throughout this two-year course to be industry-ready and work-ready. So in essence, each individual grows,” he explained.

“We are very proud of our students. The commitment they show to the course, the work they produce, and the people they become are noteworthy. This is clearly where they belong,” he concluded
