BREAKING NEWS: Armed robbers invade home in Mbombela

A man woke up to find two armed men in his home in Steiltes at around 02:00 this morning.

MBOMBELA –  According to police spokesman Capt Zandile Gwaqa, the man who lives in Beetleloop street in  Steiltes. was woken up when he heard a noise in his house.

“He got up to see what had made the noise and found two men in his house. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at him.”,

They gained entry by breaking the sliding door.

The suspects stole a TV and a laptop and a Hi-Fi system.  The robbers fled the scene with the goods.

She added that no shots had been fired and nobody had been injured during the incident. “No arrests have yet been made.”

Hi-Tech Security Regional operational manager Callum Mac Pherson said both men were wearing hoodies. “One was wearing a black hoodie and the other a blue one.”
