Gateway learners excell
Three learners from Gateway Combined Christian School participated at the SACSSA national chess tournament over the weekend.
BARBERTON – Three learners from Gateway Combined Christian School participated at the SACSSA national chess tournament over the weekend.
The event was held in Alberton.
According to the school principal, Lindie Ehlers, the competition was tough but three of the school learners managed to conquer the rounds and step out in victory.
Kylie Stewart received silver in girls under 13 while Hyejeong Shim (girls u/15) and Ruan Fourie (boys u/9) received bronze medals.
