What message is this riddler trying to send?

It is believed that the artist who spray-painted a local shopping centre last weekend, struck again.

MBOMBELA – This time under the noses of the reporters who are trying to get to the bottom of this.

“If ever there was a doubt that he’s trying to send a message, we can now say for certain,” said the managing group editor of Lowvelder, De Wet Potgieter.

Somewhere during Wednesday night, on the same day as last week’s clue which only said “Rocks” and “follow me”, followed by “Upside Down” at an undisclosed location, the graffiti artist struck again. A number appeared on each painting and could possibly be another clue.

Potgieter said it actually came as no surprise as he knows, from experience from his days as a reporter in Gauteng, that graffiti artists live on the edge. “Graffiti artists usually target areas to make a statement or get a message across,” he said.

We ask that the public please assist us in this matter, as we would like to unravel the clues and get to the bottom of this riddle. A meeting was held between some parties involved, and a decision was reached to pay out a reward of R1 500  and a mystery prize to the person who unravels these clues.

According to a graffiti artist, who would like to stay anonymous, this is a way of expressing oneself. Sometimes artists have a view on something or would like to express themselves on platforms that don’t necessarily fit your style, and then graffiti artists look for other avenues to communicate.
