BREAKING: Ehlanzeni TVET College protest lack of NSFAS allowance money

Ehlanzeni TVET College students are accusing the management of corruption, alleging that money intended for student transport and accommodation has been misspent.

A large group of disgruntled students gathered at the entrance to the Ehlanzeni TVET College this morning.

The students are protesting allegations of corruption at the college and are boycotting their exams which are scheduled to start today.

According to the Student Representative Council’s (SRC) deputy president, Mondlane Wiseman the students have not yet received their Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) allowance money for the months of July, August and September.

At the time of going to press, neither the TVET College nor the Department of Higher Education had commented on the protest or the allegations made by the students.
