Excitement builds for a bigger and better I’langa Mall

"Once we reveal everything in the pipeline, you will realise how exciting this really is."

MBOMBELA – Motorists passing I’langa Mall will have noticed that almost every corner of the mall is under construction.

“Once we reveal everything in the pipeline, you will realise how exciting this really is,” said the centre’s management team.

But for the complete picture on what exactly to expect, you will have to wait for this year’s Innibos National Arts Festival.

“We will have a brag stand, where all those burning questions will be answered, especially on the entertainment side. All we can say at this stage is, if you are excited you have good reason to be.”

In the basement level opposite the Mercure Hotel, a slab has been partly laid for the new-look Pick n Pay and 20 additional retail spaces.

Also being extended is the current Woolworths loading area, which will then serve not only Woolworths, but the new-look Pick n Pay too.

The current Pick n Pay delivery area near Thorny Creek is under construction to extend Edgars by 3 000 square metres, thereby creating what will be a beautiful 6 000-square-metre store sporting international brands.

The delivery area at the back of the mall is undergoing a major change. This will become a truck tunnel on ground level and also provide space above for the Edgars expansion. The temporary Game Box is in the process of completion. It is expected to open by the end of this month.

In the meantime, the current Game area will experience major construction with a hard slab being laid on top in preparation for multilevel parking. The current Mopani parking area that has been cordoned off is also part of this aspect of the construction.

The upper level of this parking area will create easy access to all major tenants as well as the much-anticipated new entertainment and dining offering.

“So, drive in for free parking and enjoy I’langa Mall’s sensational shopping experience. We are going bigger and better for you,” said the centre’s management.
