A new book remembers chef Anthony Bourdain

The book is a collection of quotes, memories, and images celebrating the life of the American chef.

Without a doubt one of the most popular TV chefs ever, Anthony Bourdain will be remembered this year in a book set to be released by CNN.

According to the Amazon description, Anthony Bourdain Remembered culls different “memories and anecdotes” from fans, journalists, writers, and more. Readers will find commentary from Barack Obama, who famously grabbed beer and noodles with Bourdain at Bún chả Hương Liên in Hanoi on Parts Unknown; and Eric Ripert, Bourdain’s long-time friend, will also make an appearance. Ken Burns, José Andrés, Questlove, and Jill Filipovic are also featured.

“These remembrances give us a glimpse of Tony’s widespread impact through his political and social commitments; his dedication to travel and eating well (and widely); and his love of the written word, along with his deep compassion, open-mindedness, and interest in lives different from his own,” the description reads.

Bourdain, who was the star of shows such as No Reservations and Parts Unknown, committed suicide on June 8 2018, in France. The book officially releases in two months, on May 28, but fans can pre-order it on Amazon now.
