Loyiso is not the first musician to call out radio stations on this issue.

Loyiso Bala has slammed radio and TV stations for not treating musicians with respect, and for lack of communication

Taking to social media Loyiso said that he felt the “plight of musicians” after Metro FM apparently did not give him any feedback on his music submissions for months.

“I feel the plight of musicians. Those who spend tens of thousands of rand making good music and music videos not to be rejected by their fans but by radio and tv stations. What’s worse is that some of them, like @metrofmsa in my case, don’t even get back to you on the status of your submission for months,” he said.

Loyiso added that he hadn’t fully grasped the challenge before and told fans that he was grateful for their support.

“I didn’t fully understand then but I do now. I’m sorry! And I promise to work hard to make it better for you. As for me, don’t worry. I’m blessed to have you.”

Loyiso is not the first musician to call out radio stations for apparently not playing their music.

Rapper Cassper Nyovest has also been strongly vocal about stations allegedly not giving his tracks any airtime.
