PODCAST: From drones to headphones – What we carry in our tech bags

Published by

In this episode of Tech Check With Kahla and Kruger we compare our tech bags; Lyle the audiophile, on-the-go news ninja Faizel, Shaun the shutterbug, and me, apparently the Goldilocks of this story.

Don’t ask… But do tune in to the podcast below for our words of wisdom (this is sarcasm), laughs and even a Freudian slip because life’s too short to edit that out.

Join us as we discuss the essential items we never leave home without, from drones and cameras to headphones and audio equipment.

Our lively banter and witty commentary (this, too, is sarcasm) will keep you entertained (we hope) as we delve into the must-have items in our very journalistic and super serious tech bags.

LISTEN: What’s in our tech bags

Shaun, The Citizen’s head of multimedia, is first at the word with a breakdown of everything he needs for a photo or video shoot.

Spoiler alert, he carries a lot. Even a drone.

A mo-jo’s tech bag

Faizel, a true mo-jo (mobile journalist), takes us through his bag of tricks while Lyle educates us about the importance of appreciating good sound quality.

Meanwhile, I carry everything but the kitchen sink. A fan, a light, multiple headsets and ear pods (because ADHD, you see), power banks and more.

Also charging cables. So. many. cables.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a true Tech Check podcast without a good old slip-up about size (purely in reference to our tech bags, I swear…)
