We know Twitter as the playground of mayhem and buffoonery, but today many users watched a chain of brave, passionate tweets flit across their timelines as one user professed his love for another, tagged user handles and all.

Each post declaring his feelings got retweeted more than 150 times in a matter of hours, with spectators waiting for the recepient, a self-identified “Bloodthirsty Feminist”, to respond.
