Maninzo in court for murder

Bolobedu music crew, Bad Company's lead singer, Thabo Silver Makgola, appeared before the Tzaneen Magistrate's Court where he was denied bail on a charge of murder on Wednesday, May 18.

The case was postponed to Monday, May 23. At the time of going to print is is unknown if Makgola was granted bail.
The 34-year-old, who is also know as Maninzo, was arrested for the murder of a 23-year-old girl from Mamotintane village in Makweng, along with five other suspects.
Two of the co-accused were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and three were arrested for defeating the ends of justice after they allegedly took the Makgola’s firearm to conceal it at Relela village.

The two suspects who were charged with the possession of unlicensed firearms are 30-year-old Buster Thusa Rampya and 38-year-old Laughter Makgobatlou who also appeared in court on Monday, May 23.
The other three suspects are 33-year-old Sandra Sondlane, 22-year-old Fortune Sondlane and 44-year-old Sylivia Tepanyeka. They were released on a R500 bail each and will appear in court again on June 23.
The alleged murder took place when a group of people were reportedly drinking at a house at Morutji village in the Tzaneen area on March 1 this year when the victim was allegedly shot.

The injured woman, Kgaogelo Maake, was taken to hospital where she died on arrival.
The suspect had been on the run since the incident.
Members of the Tzaneen Tracing Team (TTT) received information on the whereabouts of the suspect in Mohlakamosoma in the Bolobedu area where he was found hiding at his aunt’s place.
The manager of the crew, Zimba Wa Bolobedu, confirmed the arrest of the lead singer on his Facebook account which was shared on a Facebook page called Bolobedu Music Masters (Re nesa pula).

“As the manager of the Bad Company crew, I’m here to confirm that General Manizo is indeed arrested.
“We apologise to the fans of Bad Company for not answering any of the questions you asked in my inbox and comment section.
“Let’s leave everything in the hands of the law and reliable media,” he posted.
“The truth is that I manage the brand and manage the music product, I don’t manage the behaviour or the lifestyle of my clients, I cannot control what artists do in their free time.
“I’m standing here as the manager and Bolo House Music promoter and I’m against crime and my boys know as I always tell them,” he said.
He also added that Bad Company will continue doing music as it has been doing that for the past three months without Maninzo.
