Local man publishes book

Hasani Discharge Shirinda, also known as Charge is a 33-year-old man from Risinga View who has recently published a book called ‘Building A Lasting Relationship’ which is aimed at helping couples build a healthy relationship.

“After many years of observing friends and working with clients who encounter marital challenges, I decided to write down a list of problems that are affecting marriages in our communities with accompanying solutions. “I then converted all the information into my book with the title ‘Building A Lasting Relationship’.

“Problems in marriage affect people’s happiness. It may even lead to divorce, suicide, gender-based violence as well as mental illness. I realised that it is imperative those effective strategies are taken to prevent such challenges and compiled a handbook for couples who wish to build a happy marriage,” said Hasani. The book took him 12 years to compile, and he had to overcome multiple challenges in writing his book. He says load shedding hampered progress.

“As this is the first book, finances to publish and pay editors were also a challenge. With the help of my wife, Tlangelani Shirinda, I have printed a few copies that are now finished and we are waiting for more copies to arrive. “I received a lot of support from the Giyani and Malamulele communities.

They have purchased the book and I really appreciate them, this is not the end of my journey in writing, it is just the beginning,” he added.

He described himself as humble, bubbly, and honest who can relate well to people. “I am motivated to study further and I enjoy working with disabled people. I am supportive make, friends easily, and can handle myself in any situation.

I do not discriminate, do not give up easily and I do whatever it takes to complete what I have started. I am also a Christian and a member of Worship Tabernacles under Pastor BR Malomane,” he said.
