Mpho Miss Regal International finalist

Sekororo born and bred, Mpho Malatji, is a finalist in the Miss Regal International South Africa 2021 pageant.

She will be competing for the title with other beauties from all over the country in Sandton on Saturday, October 23.

The pageant is about celebrating beauty, regality, intelligence and seeks to crown a woman who is a role model for other women.

“We are looking for someone who is not only physically beautiful, but self-driven with a purpose to succeed and attain whatever goal she aspires to,” the organisers said.

They also work hand in hand with POWA (a women’s rights organisation) in the fight against domestic violence and creates awareness with the hope of fighting the social ill

.

Mpho says she firmly believes that she can wear the title with elegance, dignity and confidence as it speaks to her story.

“As a child who grew up in an abusive home, the Miss Regal International platform fully resonates with my story and will allow me to share my story while changing the narrative in other people’s lives.

“My duty is to tell my story with grace and to make a difference in other people’s lives.

“Creating awareness of the impact our stories have on each individual to empower them and find enough light within themselves,” she explained.

Mpho is a Wits University Medical student and has won a number of competitions including Role Model Foundation’s Miss Limpopo 2019 and Miss Greater Tzaneen Royal Nobility 2019 amongst many.

In 2018 she made it to the top four finalists in the TV show, Showville – the Tzaneen edition, where she wowed the audience with her singing poetry skills.
