How we are getting Letaba Herald to you

If you are reading this article then we are delighted that our newspaper has successfully made its way to you. It has been two months since we started with the rollout of our new, bigger and better distribution model of Letaba Herald, and we’d like to share some interesting information with you, writes Benno Stander, Business Manager.

In June we rolled out a new design, new content sections and an upgraded distribution plan to make sure we effectively get 12 000 Letaba Herald newspapers to the people who want to read them. In the process we have also assisted in ensuring that many distribution workers and entrepreneurs are able to provide for their families. We can honestly say that we were blown away with the results and our community obviously welcomed the changes as the newspapers are simply flying off the shelves.

As someone who’s worked most of my career in the newspaper industry, I am delighted that we are able to give out newspapers that people enjoy. We have received lots of positive feedback and well wishes and take every single one to heart. It really makes all the hard work the Herald team puts in, totally worth it.

Although this is a rather large undertaking for us, and a process to fine tune the distribution to be as effective as possible, I’d like to share with you some of the details.

By now you would have noticed that many people living in and around Tzaneen receive the newspaper at their home. If you live in freestanding home, complex, or estate, in Aqua Park, Arborpark, Premier Park, Flora Park or Tzangeni, you should be getting your paper either at your gate or at your complex or estate gate.

The surrounding areas of Haenertsburg, Modjadjiskloof and Letsitele will not be left out and also form part of the residential door to door delivery plan. With regards to home deliveries we ask that you please make some sort of provision for your weekly paper. We understand that most people don’t have post boxes any more but really want your paper to reach you in good condition. Some residents have already put up short pieces of plastic tube close to their gates which really works well.

Businesses in Tzaneen Central, and both the old and new industrial areas in Tzaneen should all be receiving two copies of the paper every week.

If you do not live or work in one of these areas, you can still pick up your copy of Letaba Herald, free of charge, at one of more than 60 distribution outlets that include supermarkets, garage convenient stores, police stations, post offices, municipalities and more.

We are hard at work making adjustments every week and we are very thankful for all the great feedback. Should you however not receive your paper, or would like to give us any type of feedback, you are welcome to mail us at distribution@Herald.co.za. We look forward to hearing from you and assisting with any matters that might need to be brought to our attention.
