Audi gives relief to Freeway Plan customers

One of the biggest advantages of buying a new car or even a fairly low kilometre car is the fact that it has a maintenance plan.

For those who don’t know, a maintenance plan is a servicing plan that covers just about all aspects of your car, many of these plans are included in the price of the car and all servicing costs are covered by the plan. However, what about plans that are expiring during this lockdown? Audi has implemented steps to ensure that their customers are covered.

The Audi Freeway Plan

All new Audi models are sold with a Freeway Plan which is a comprehensive service and maintenance programme designed to give their customer the best value in terms of peace of mind motoring for the duration of the contract period, which in this case is the first five-years and/or 100 000 kilometres (whichever occurs first). An advantage to a plan like this is the fact that it removes unnecessary budgeting stress for unexpected servicing costs.

Audi does, however, offer an extended plan which can see cover lasting for up to 10-years and/or 300 000 kilometres. That said though we are currently faced with a global pandemic which has resulted in a national lockdown. Audi South Africa has decided to implement some measures to assist customers by extending the Audi Freeway Plan and Freeway Plan extension packages for any contracts expiring between the 25 March to 30 September 2020.

What about current service needs to avoid plan cancellations?

In addition to the Freeway plan extensions, any services needed to be performed as part of the time and/or mileage intervals included in the Audi Freeway Plan and Freeway Plan extension parameters, will be granted a grace period of 1 month and/or 1 500 kilometres. Audi hopes that this will bring some sort of relief, convenience and ease to their customers and Audi drivers during this time.

Audi virtual factory tour

In the past, Audi enthusiast and owners could book themselves a tour of the manufacturing facilities situated in Ingolstadt. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all production at the facilities has been stopped and with that all factory tours. Now though you can book yourself a virtual tour of the facilities and explore the production lines at Audi in the comfort and safety of your own home. Utilising the AudiStream website, you will have the opportunity to explore the production processes of models such as the A3 and A4. Visit https://www.audi.stream/ if you would like to book your tour.
