Culinary Experiences at the Taste of Tzaneen 2019

Anybody with an interest or just a love for food must save the date to attend the Taste of Tzaneen from 31st October to 2 November at Fairview Hotel in Tzaneen.

The SA Chefs Committee, Limpopo and South African Chefs Association will be hosting the first Taste of Tzaneen senior and junior chefs’ competitions, and participants will be able to show off their skills in a professional environment with some of the best judges in the country on board.

Spectators and interested parties are welcome to attend the competitions.

The Junior Competition will start on Thursday morning at 9h00 to 16h00, and the Senior Chefs Competition will run from 8h00 to 13h00.

The prize giving will take place on Saturday afternoon at 16h00 from the open stage at the Golden Circle.

Other not to be missed events will be the Culinary Theatre, where chefs will be preparing delicious recipes with well-known ingredients and products while they are constantly interviewed and questioned by the audience and by members of the SA Chefs Association.

Then, certainly the most important for most visitors will be the food options available during the Taste of Tzaneen this year – from which The Food Court will offer a great variety of street foods during the event and we promise not to disappoint!

Other options will include cheese and charcuterie platters, Sushi, Eastern Cuisine, South African Potjiekos, Braaivleis and then the Chesa Nyama platters which will be sold during the after party on Saturday evening.

A mouth-watering buffet is on offer on Thursday evening during the Taste of Tzaneen Opening and Awards Ceremony as well as for the Generals evening, on Saturday evening and the focus will be on true South African food, as we will be Celebrating Limpopo!

And then to complete the picture of the culinary experience at the Taste of Tzaneen guests will be able to enjoy the Wine, Gin and Craft Beer expo, and last but not least a coffee bar to die for.  Don’t miss out on our Friday Nights Picnic under the stars (weather permitting)!

Make sure that you book your tickets online for your favourite shows, and that you plan that you do not miss any of the exciting happenings during the Taste of Tzaneen 2019.

Events not to be missed is the World Cup Rugby Finals which will be broadcasted live at the SAB / Rotary Fan Park on Saturday morning at 11h00

Make sure that you are in time and stay the rest of the day for the excellent food and exciting line-up of artists in the Golden Circle which will include:

Hanco, Bottomless Coffee Band, The Black Ties and Roan Ash, followed by the Taste of Tzaneen after party which will start at 20h00 with Lebb Simmons, Omee Otis and More2Life’s DJ Tee Cee till late.
