South Africa to get the Limited edition Figo Blu

Based on the five-door Figo 1.5 Trend, the Figo Blu will be receiving visual enhancements and will be limited to 360 units only.

Modifications on the front of the vehicle include a black mesh grille and in keeping with its name, it received blue bezels on the fog lamp housings. The roof and mirror housings are painted black contrasting the body colour options limited to only Moondust Silver, Oxford White and Smoke Grey.

Increased in size from the standard 14-inch wheels on the Trend model, the Figo Blu, get 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in black which match the black colour accents on the rest of the vehicle. Extending the length of the lower section on the front and rear doors, you will find decals black in colour.

The inside sees the Blu theme carried through by the use of blue gloss trim inserts on all four door panels, blue stitching for the gearshift gaiter and ‘Figo Blu’ embroidered onto the floor mats. The driver will also enjoy the addition of a leather steering wheel. The occupants will also have access to a four-speaker, built in Ford audio unit with an integrated display, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB slot and a DeviceDock for connecting and charging smartphones.

The motivation for the Ford Figo Blu comes from an aluminium 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with twin independent variable camshaft timing (TiVCT) coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. The powertrain, able to produce 88 kW and 150 N.m of torque also comes fitted with a dual-stage variable oil pump to improve fuel consumption and emissions.

Included into the recommended retail price of R203 800, the Ford Figo Blu comes with a four-year/120 000km comprehensive warranty, three-year/unlimited distance roadside assistance and five-year/unlimited km corrosion warranty. A four-year/60 000km service plan is included, with 15 000km service intervals.
