Tcee the charmer of Tzaneen’s airwaves

"People would tell me that I have a voice for radio, that is when I started to do some research about radio," he said.

Radio presenter Tennyson Ngobeni known to his listeners as “Tcee the charmer of the airwaves” fell in love with radio the first time he tried it out.

He said he started being inquisitive about radio when he was working as a call centre agent.

“People would tell me that I have a voice for radio, that is when I started to do some research about radio,” he said.

His radio career began at Greater Tzaneen FM (GTFM) in 2013 as a presenter of the weekend flavour.

In 2015 he moved to Giyani Community Radio (GCR).

Tcee currently works for Don’t Blame God Ministries FM (DBGFM). He is the presenter of Vision is Power on Saturday from 15:00-18:00 which is a show that empowers the youth. “This is a motivational show and it encourages the youth to venture into entrepreneurship. It also unleashes the talent of the youth,” he said.

Tcee said he loves radio because it is the theatre of the mind and it is instant. “Radio is so powerful and it transforms information fast. It enables one to engage with a lot of people at once,” he said.

His advice to aspiring radio presenters is to believe in their talent.”Radio is not all about qualifications, it’s about talent, you have to have what it takes. You may have qualifications but if you don’t have talent it won’t work. You can supplement your talent with education,” he said.

Tcee’s goal is to work for a bigger radio before starting his own radio station.

“I want to get more exposure in a broader way,” he said.

He is also an entrepreneur, he owns a brickyard in Mugwazeni Village.

Tcee lives by this motto “Born to be a billionaire”.
