Saturday is National Heritage Day.

Braai day!

The National Braai Day initiative aims to position National Heritage Day as South Africa’s annual day of celebration.

All South Africans unite around fires, share our heritage and wave our flag on 24 September every year.

National Heritage Day is a public holiday were our government set this day aside for all South Africans to celebrate our rich heritage. Across race, language, region and religion, we all share one common heritage.

It is called many things: Chisa Nyama, Braai and Ukosa to name a few.

Although the ingredients may differ, the one thing that never changes is that when we have something to celebrate we light fires, and prepare a great feast.

To make your Braai Day more meaty, sizzling and crackling,  we want you to post a photo of you, your friends or any wacky-crazy moment around the fire whilst celebrating Braai day

And you can win big.

You stand a chance of winning a R1 500 meat month pack voucher from Sugar Hill Mini Market, and they will sommer gooi in charcoal and blitz for your next braai and to spice the prize lekker up, SAB will make sure that you get two cases of beer.

Take full advantage of this great heritage photo competition challenge.
