LETABA SHOW: Don’t miss out on Elvis Blue

The platinum selling South African musician and songwriter, Elvis Blue, released a new album and will be performing in Tzaneen Friday night at the Letaba Show.

Elvis is excited to visit Tzaneen, he has been to Tzaneen before about five years ago and he had great fun.

Tzaneen has the three things he loves, incredible weather, friendly people and music.

The time SAMA winner released his new album, entitled OPTICS, on June 10.

The album was written between January 2015 and January 2016,recorded in George and Potchefstroom and produced by SAMA nominated, Ghoema winning star producer Ewald Jansen van Rensburg.

“Every album is an adventure and you never know what will actually happen in a persons’ car when he outs the album on.

“You can only hope it gets their feet tapping hearts pumping and minds working,” said Elvis about the new album.

He really enjoyed working on the song called “The tide”.

“Some songs just flow out of you and I was lucky that this was one of them,” said Elvis.

The most challenging part of making the album was spending a lot of time away from his family when recording.

“The word ‘optics’ describes the way a person views things and I’ve always thought that music is a bit like that; describing our perspectives on things.

“As I was writing the songs, this is what I was thinking about, and the word optics just fit,” he said about the name of the album.

Don’t miss Elvis on the Letaba Show stage on Friday at 21:15.
