Mia celebrates Youth day

Letaba Herald caught up with the the youth of Tzaneen Primary about Youth day and spoke to Mia Nkuna.

According to Nkuna, Youth day is about remembering the events of 1976.

She also think about all her privileges and compare it to other youth.

Nkuna’s role model is her 19 year old sister because she has achieved a lot in her life.

“She sees everything as a challenge even when she fails sometimes, she does not get discouraged,” said Nkuna about her sister.

The change she would like to see in the name of youth is a higher standard of education, especially in maths.

Drugs are becoming a massive problem and Nkuna agrees because once somethingstarts it doesn’t take long to get to you.

“Parents can talk to their children about the use of drugs,” said Nkuna.

If she could pick a place to be on Youth day it would be Sharpville where the events of 1976 happened.

When asked at what age she believes a person is old her answer was 35.
