According to organizer, Mpangele Brian the event was suppose to take place in April but he was involved in car accident on the eve of the main event.
“The event should have taken place last month but I was involved in horrific accident that cost the event to be postponed, but now we are hoping for the successful Miss Mopani,” he said.
“This is an annual event and this year we will be hosting the 3rd edition of Miss Mopani, and we are expecting 10 finalists from all parts of Mopani,” said Mpangele.
“Miss Mopani pageant has been successful and managed to provide opportunities to young models of whom some are doing it provincially and others nationally,” he added.
“There is lots of prizes to be won, Miss Mopani will win a spa and cosmetic voucher, money which I can’t disclose now and spending some nights in hotels together with first and second princesses,” he concluded.
Khanyisa Malungani, the reigning Miss Giyani and one of the finalists of Miss Mopani said: “I’m looking forward to this day and hope that this would be a great platform for us to showcase our talents in front of whole district. I hope that I will be victorious,” she said.
Various artists from Mopani District are going to entertain the crowd.
