Eco Club talk on adventures in Namibia: To the Kaokoveld and Kunene

Eco Club chairman Paul Zaayman and local bird expert member Pierre Homan recently travelled to Namibia on a 1600km round-trip to the captivating Kaokoland and Kunene River.

ECO Club chairman Paul Zaayman and local bird expert member Pierre Homan recently travelled to Namibia on a 1600km round-trip to the captivating Kaokoland and Kunene River.

They negotiated challenging roads such as the Van Zyl’s Pass and visited amazing places such as Opuwo, Marionfluss, Purros Gorge and Epupa Falls.

En-route they encountered some of the unique fauna and flora of the various areas.

They will recount their adventures and present a slide show of the spectacular scenery they witnessed on their journey.

The talk will be held at the Macadamia Community Centre at 19:00 on Thursday October 23.

Tea and coffee will be served afterwards, visitors are most welcome and pay the usual small fee of R20.
