Stanford Lake College learner fishes for victory

SLC learner is eligible for selection for the South African Sport Anglers and Casting Confederation (SASACC) team that will travel to the Czech Republic in May to participate in an international competition.

Last year in early October, Stanford Lake College learner Marthinus Maritz (then in Grade 9), participated in the Youth Nationals fly fishing competition held in Douglas. His performance qualified him to go through to the Protea trials which took place at Elgro River Lodge (near Potchefstroom) a few days ago.

Once again he qualified at these trials and is eligible for selection for the South African Sport Anglers and Casting Confederation (SASACC) team that will travel to the Czech Republic in May to participate in an international competition.
