David ‘Kaizer’ Letsoalo says teams should encourage their players to engage in individual training programmes such as road running to prepare for when the league resumes.
Both premier and super divisions of the league were suspended on 18 March.
Letsoalo said about three rounds of matches had already been played in the two divisions of the league when all games were suspended.
Letsoalo thanked teams, players and their supporters for heeding the call to observe the lockdown for their own safety and for those around them.
He likened the state of emergency imposed by the pandemic to a state of war.
“Staying at home is the only weapon we have to fight this war,” said Letsoalo.
He added that people should at all times remain focused and comply with the Covid-19 safety regulations.
“We will definitely play soccer again if we stay safe and alive.

We are confident this pandemic will pass, and things will return to normal again.
This thing is frighteningly real, and please let’s take care,” emphasised Letsoalo.
He said the Covid-19 regulations dictated that the annual KLG Easter Tournament could not be played this year after more than 10 years of uninterrupted showcasing.
The first edition of this tournament was hosted in 2009.
“It appears that other tournaments on the calendar of KLG, such as the KLG Ma-Afrika Freedom Cup (June), KLG Schools Sport Event (August) and the KLG Heritage-Bathlabine Tournament (September) are unlikely to be played this year,” said Letsoalo.
He further said that there is a chance for the annual Pamo Memorial Tournament (also known as the Pamo Cup) might still go ahead.
The Pamo Cup is normally hosted from 16 December until 1 January and the finals are hosted at the Soccer City facility in Lephepane.
All affiliated teams in the super and premier divisions of the KLG Soccer League will be notified of the dates league activities will resume as soon as there is an indication from the government as to the relaxation of the regulations allowing sporting and entertainment activities to be held.
