Itieleng, Sekgosese based Flying Birds claimed the soccer category title after defeating Sekgopo based New Castle 4-5 on penalties following a one-all stalemate in regulation time.
New Castle scored first through Mohale Ramanyoga whilst Flying Birds leveled the score through a penalty taken by Gift Ratlhapane.
Flying Birds booked a place in the finals by winning 4-3 on penalties against the home side, Mohlabaneng United following a 2-2 in regulation time of the semi-finals.
New Castle thrashed Khekhuting Happy Boys 2-0 in the semifinals. In the losers finals, Happy Boys managed a 2-3 penalty shoot-out win against Mohlabaneng United to claim the third spot on the log table.
In ladies soccer, Mamaila Best Ladies won 1-0 against Mmamokona following an 8-0 crushing of Polaseng in the semifinals. Mmamokona beat home ladies, Leba Roses 1-0 in the semi-finals.
In netball, Mighty Queens overcame Itieleng 49-7 to claim the top sports
First positions in all the three sporting codes will walk away with R6000 each, trophies and gold medals.
Second positions R5000 each and silver medals. Third position R3500 with bronze medals.
Fourth positions got R3500 consolation. Individual players who excelled during the tournament received miniature trophies. All teams received kits for the final matches.
