HAENERTSBURG: Runners conquer the Iron Crown

The first day pushed the runners a gruelling 40 km whilst the second day was 25 km.

The unforgiving yet stunningly beautiful Wolkberg Trail Run (WTR) took place over the last weekend. Over 250 runners took part in the two-day race which started and finished on both days at Stanford Lake College.

The WTR made its debut in 2014, and has become one of the most popular races on the trail running calendar. The WTR is a two day stage race through the magnificent Wolkberg Mountains, summiting the highest point in Limpopo, the Iron Crown.
