Roumen Farms wins bowls league

It was a nail-biter of a match between the two top teams, Roumen Farms and Coral Water, in the finals of the Herald RE/ MAX bowls business league on Thursday night at the Tzaneen Bowls Club.

Each team won six rounds scoring six points each to draw the match. This means that Roumen Farms wins the league with 54 points. Coral Water took second place overall on the league standings with 52 points. ZZ2 played against BB Nissan, winning the match 16-10 to take third place overall.

Laeveld Agrochem played against Lowveld Labels, winning 13-9 to take fourth place on the log. Four of the matches ended in a draw in this final round of the league with Engelbrecht Engineering and Marric Service Centre drawing 11-11.

The organisers thanked the players, businesses, the Herald, and RE/MAX for their support. The business league will return to the greens at the Tzaneen Bowls Club later this year.
