Limpopo men’s netball team takes bronze

The Limpopo men’s netball teams, took the overall third postion at the Rea Bapala Festival recently. The event was held at the Central University of Technology in the Free State recently.

Team Limpopo was represented in two groups, the senior A team and the u.23-team.
The senior A team played six games in total, winning four games and losing two games. The senior team took third place behind KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, respectively.
The u.23 team also attained third position after playing four games, winning two and losing two games.

Joseph Nkuna, coach of the senior A team told the Herald that he is pleased with his team performance, given the fact that they were under the opinion that they were playing B section which is a lower level compared to section A.
When they arrived at the games they were told that they have to play in section A, which has professional players.

“I’m happy because our team gave superior teams a tough time, the games we lost wasn’t easy games, Gauteng beat us by 39-37, so that explains that we have the potential of attaining a gold medal next year,” he said.
“We will definitely work and train harder in the next championships, we also did not have ample time to train.”
