New champions rule on the dodgeball court

Pam Golding’s dodgeball team became the new champions after beating the three times undefeated champions Seagulls on Saturday at the Scales Sports Arena in Hoedspruit.

“There was great excitement in the air as players prepared for the start of the dodgeball tournament. The Seagulls, the tournament’s three-time undefeated champions, were the team to beat,” said Amy Clark, founder and managing director of Scales Conservation Fund NPC.

“Teams battled it out over nine rounds, dodging, ducking, and diving their way towards the finals. The semi-finals were intense as team Scrum & Coke knocked out the three-time champions, the Seagulls, and moved on to the finals where they met Pam Golding, who knocked out team Born to be Horny in the semi-finals.

After a best-of-three final it was the team from Pam Golding who took the top spot with a 2 to 1 win over Scrum & Coke,” said Clark. She also thanked everyone who was involved in making the tournament a success once again.
