In the past three weeks he went to three villages, where he handed over three wheelchairs to a family in Makgaung, Metz and The Oaks villages. In Makgaung he handed over a wheelchair to the 87-year-old Maatlale Malepe, in Metz it was the 94-year-old College Ramodike and at The Oaks village, the 74-year-old Sophy Makofane.
“Since the beginning of the year up to now, we have donated over 16 wheelchairs, 14 normal ones and two specialised wheelchairs. We have received a list from the hospital and recommendations as to who are in urgent need of wheelchairs. “This is something that we will continue to do, with more than 300 patients on the list, said Justice Shipalana, MLM spokesperson.

He told Herald that the mayor feels strongly about helping those in need, as it proves the municipality’s commitment to the disabled. During the handovers, Musolwa said that now the patients will be able to move around. “We are doing this because we do not want them to be confined to only one place. “We want you to be able to go wherever you want, whenever you want,” said Musolwa.
One of the recipients, Makofane said that she is overjoyed, as she would now also be able to go to church again. “I never missed church when I could still walk, but it has been difficult to attend since I am struggling to walk. Now I can go at any time, and I do not think that I will ever be late,” she said.
