He presents two shows at the Giyani Community Radio Station (GCR). ‘Ta le Mbilwini’ airs Monday to Thursday from 22:00 to midnight and focusses on helping listeners with emotional well-being. On Sunday from 19:00 to 21:00, he hosts a show call-in show called ‘Reasoning from the Scriptures’, where guest pastors tackle issues based on the scriptures.
He was born and raised in Ribungwani outside Giyani and hails from a loving family who taught him to put God first. His love for radio began at a young age and was also inspired by his late cousin, Hlayisani Robert Khosa, who was a presenter at Munghana Lonene FM. “In high school, whenever we had functions or a fun day, I would choose to be a radio presenter imitating other radio hosts.

My former teachers, including Dan Mkhari, would encourage me to pursue media studies at varsity. I followed their advice because I knew that I was gifted and born to be in broadcasting,” he says. He studied public relations and communication, majoring in media and communication at the Vaal University of Technology.
After graduating in 2021, he was hired as a radio host at GCR His shows greatly impact the lives of his listeners with many sending messages showing their appreciation for his insight. He adds that his role model in radio is the late Bob Mabena. “I loved his presenting style, and most importantly, he had a lot of wisdom. He was not just a presenter, he also inspired me to fall in love with reading, so I could acquire knowledge.”
His parents gave him two names, Mpohlo and Sunday, Mpohlo meaning handsome in Xitsonga and Sunday, because he was born on a Sunday. When he is not at work, he spends time with his family and plays video games. He is also a preacher, a keyboard player, and an MC.
