Zinhle is a finalist in Miss Grand SA

Zinhle Mkhabele (19) is in the running to be crowned Miss Grand South Africa.

The young beauty queen from Lulekani, is competing with 37 other hopefuls from all over the country. She is currently studying electrical engineering, but she says pageantry and modelling are her passion. Her modelling journey started in 2019 at her former school, Majeje Secondary School. She has a number of titles to her name, including queen of Miss Lulekani 2022; first runner-up for Miss Glamorous Limpopo 2023 and the first runner-up of Empress of Phalaborwa 2023.

She told the Herald that she would love to win Miss Grand SA, as it would afford her the opportunity to represent Phalaborwa on a national and international stage. “I believe Phalaborwa has a lot of potential, but we are in need of support, both from the community and government, to help keep the youth off the streets, “she said.

Zinhle says she is inspired by former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe, Zozibini Ntuzi, as she believes she is the epitome of black women power, and she carries herself well.
