Approximately 20 households received the tools, which included Jojo tanks, wheelbarrows, spades and digging forks, among other tools. The programme aims at alleviating poverty, by encouraging communities to start backyard gardens, which will help with food production.

The municipality’s Agriculture MMC, Maripe Mangena, encouraged the families to contribute to the food security of the country by taking advantage of the tools.
