Foundation is committed to uplift women from all walks of life

The Enock Mathebula Foundation is solidifying its position as an organisation that supports women from all walks of life.

They will be hosting a number of events in August to celebrate Women’s Month. On Tuesday, August 1, they will be hosting a women’s dialogue session, where speakers will discuss issues that concern women in Polokwane at a venue to be announced soon. Abuse survivors will also be sharing their stories, with the aim of equipping those in abusive relationships to find a way out.

On Women’s Day, August 9, the CEO of the organisation, Gift Mathebula, will lead a mother-and-daughter fun walk starting from Bora Lifestyle Centre on the R40 in Phalaborwa. Participants can enter in two categories, 5km, and 10 km. The proceeds of the event will be allocated to a mentorship programme that supports girls from disadvantaged families around Phalaborwa.

“SIP stands for ‘she is power’, this will be more than just a music festival. “We have a line-up of women with the likes of Makhadzi who has experienced tough times as a young woman. “We chose Polokwane to host these events because itis central and accessible,” explained Vonani Mathebula, brand manager at Enock Mathebula Foundation.
