Ndavi makes top 16 on the Miss Universe pageants

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for Miss South Africa 2022, Ndavi Nokeri, for reaching the top 16 at the Miss Universe pageant.

Nokeri was competing against 84 other beauty queens from all over the globe at the pageant which was held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Centre in the US over the weekend. Her sister-in-law, Nkateko Nokeri said Nokeri carried the whole of Africa with her. “Aunty Ndavi fought until the end, she was confident, you could tell this from her walk on stage.

We stayed awake and made sure that we watch the live proceedings which took place from 03:00, we would not miss it for the world,” she said. Meanwhile, Nokeri’s brother, Nyiko said he is proud of his little sister’s achievement and that she has represented the family and the whole of South Africa well. Tshepang Pilusa, a former netball player at Ben Vorster High School, told the Herald that she too is proud of the Tzaneen beauty queen.

Pilusa said Nokeri has made her a proud Limpopo girl, as she has shown that every Limpopo girl is deserving of greatness. “A Tsonga queen on the universe’s stage, wow. I never would have thought it in a million years,” she concluded. Ndavi’s parents, Pastor Moses and Betty Nokeri attended the event in the US in support of their youngest child.
