CPF campaign leads to arrests in Tzaneen

The Tzaneen Community Policing Forum (CPF) and the police in Tzaneen recently held an awareness campaign, rounding up would-be criminals.

During the campaign that took place on Friday night, two suspects were arrested and a third suspect escaped. “We are very happy with how the campaign went and are hoping to host the project weekly until all the criminals are off our streets.

“Of the two suspects, one was caught trying to jump a fence, and another was arrested for drinking and driving. We had a third one but he escaped,” said Uwe Kröh of the Tzaneen CPF. Tzaneen residents have been in the grip of a spate of break-ins that seem to follow a specific modus operandi over the last few weeks.
