Everyone is looking for creative ways to celebrate this holiday.
The fireless firework is a confetti popper made out of items you may already have lying around the house including basic supplies such as a plastic, water bottle, paper and a balloon.
The first step in the process is cutting off the bottom of the water bottle. This task can be a little difficult so make sure an adult is handling the scissors.
Use a small dremel to make a hole in the plastic to make getting the scissors into the side a little easier.
Once the bottom is off, measure the distance from the opening to the spot where the bottle begins to curve down.
This will be the length you need to cut the paper to cover the bottle.
Before you wrap the paper to the exterior of the bottle, you can choose to decorate it to make it extra festive. While we used pre-designed coloured paper, feel free to customize the project as much as you want.
This is the time to get creative! Cut the paper to size and then use tape, a glue gun, staples, glue sticks or anything you have on hand to fasten the paper to the exterior of the bottle.
Add a deflated balloon to the mouth piece of the bottle.
It should stay on without assistance but it you want assurance that it is attached, add a rubber band or bead of hot glue around the top to keep it secure.
Now comes the question of what are you going to shoot out of it.
We shredded red, white and blue paper to make our confetti, but you can use anything you want.
