Nkowankowa circuit awards excellence

It was all joy and celebrations at the Nkowankowa circuit awards event which was held a Tivumbeni Hall on Friday, February 27.

 Zivuko Secondary School was named the best public school in the circuit on general performance with an 83.5% pass rate. It was followed by Petanenge Secondary School with 81.81% and Charles Mathonsi with 70.88%.

The parents of the top three best learners in public schools receive the awards.

St George College was named the best independent school based on the high number of bachelor passes, 84 out of 87 learners attained bachelor passes. They also bagged the best independent school for their highest pass percentage in bachelors and the best independent school based on the number of distinctions achieved.

Meridian College shared the honours with St George after they too were named best independent school in general performance with a 100% pass rate. Parents of top learners were present to accept the awards on behalf of their children who are already at their various tertiary institutions.

DZJ Mtebule was named the best public school with the highest number of distinctions, 58 distinctions out of 206 learners. Charles Mathonsi Secondary School in Dan Village was named the most improved school after improving their pass rate from 34.3% to 70.88%.
