Local school’s nutritional programme the best in Limpopo

A primary school in the Giyani area has scooped a prize for running the best nutritional programme in Limpopo.

MK Khambani Primary School was not only named the best in the province but was placed third nationally.

GGM mayor, Basani Shibambu , congratulates MK Khambani Primary School for having the best nutritional programme in Limpopo.

On Thursday, September 30, the provincial department of Education, joined by Greater Giyani Municipality’s mayor, Basani Shibambu, celebrated the achievement during an event that was held at the school in Ngove village, Speaking at the event, Shibambu congratulated the school for the achievement, saying they have put the municipality on the map.

“We are particularly proud that this achievement attests to the fact that our children here at MK Khambani Primary School are nutritionally safe and we encourage the school to keep up the good work,” she concluded. The school also won new additional cooking equipment for their kitchen.
