Tzaneen’s Annikie Madzivanzira is a Mrs Universe South Africa 2021 finalist.
Annikie is a full-time corporate employee and also owns a nail business that she runs part-time.
She is married to Pastor Nick Madzivanzira and they have three children. Through her organisation, Own your Crown Foundation, she donates sanitary pads to young girls on a monthly basis.
“I collect sanitary towels from sponsors and distribute them. At the moment I was only able to reach out to our church and that is not enough. My dream is to reach more girls in the region. I grew up not being able to afford pads and I know how it feels to go through periods without them and I don’t wish for more young girls to go through the same experience,” she said.

She told the Herald that she grew up doing pageants, but lack of money to register and pay for bigger pageants put her dreams on hold.
“I believe now it is time to fulfill my dream and win this crown.” She added that she is looking for sponsors to assist with her project and also financial support for the pageant including makeup and clothing sponsors.
