Woman critical after arm got caught in machine at farm in Letsitele

A 40-year-old woman was severely injured after her arm got caught in a machine, towed by a tractor on a farm in Letsitele on Wednesday.

This is according to a statement by ER24 stating that when paramedics arrived on the scene around 10:15 they found the woman lying near the tractor and towed farming equipment.

“Medics quickly assessed the woman and found that she had sustained an amputation to her left arm, as well as severe injuries to her pelvis and leg. The woman was treated and provided with several advanced life support interventions,” read the statement.

According to ER24, once treated, the woman was transported to Mediclinic Tzaneen for urgent care. They said details surrounding the incident are unknown.
