Nomonde entertains people with her angelic voice

Nomonde Mafumu is a 27-year-old young lady from a small village called Nkambako outside Tzaneen who started using her angelic voice at the age of three.

“I grabbed every opportunity to use my voice, especially singing in church. My mom used to tell me that whenever people were quiet in church, I would start to sing.”

At the age of 21, she fulfilled her dream of releasing an album with the title of Dream.

“It is an R&B album which got a lot of playtime on radio as well as interviews on Thobela FM, Capricorn FM, Energy FM, Sekgosese FM and GTFM,” said Nomonde.

Her fan base further grew when she was featured by Cool B in a song called Satisfied. This drew the attention of a producer at Nghalas Records.

“There I got to work with Tebza the DJ and released a song called Julieta which is played on Trace Africa and Channel O.”

This again got the attention of Mr Post, one of the biggest Xitsonga artists and they worked together to release a song called Madlokonya.

“I am currently working on a song called Mavavani featuring Henny C, also known as Tsonga Prince,” she said.

The song is about fighting gender-based violence and was well received by audiences thus far. The video for Mavavani will also be released soon.
