Film makers are called to submit their work

Bioscope Ya Rena, is calling on filmmakers around Mopani district to submit their films, for a chance of showcasing it to the broader public.

The initiative aims to give a platform to people who are passionate about films, but without exposure and resources.

“This is a great opportunity for rural talent to get their productions out to the public, because they are usually the ones without resources.

“If your movie is selected your work will be showcased to the public and you will also get paid for it,” explained Nothando Ngwenya, Bioscope Ya Rena Mopani coordinator.

Ngwenya told the Herald that the project is funded by the National Films and Video Foundation, with the aim of creating jobs for local movie producers.

The movies have to be one hour or less, if it is more than an hour it can be divided into two sections and categorised as part A and part B.
