Limpopo: Your weekly Covid-19 stats

This past week saw the province record 498 new Covid-19 positive cases and 135 deaths. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

LIMPOPO – The province saw an increase of 498 Covid-19 cases since last week, Review Online reported. 

The Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that the cumulative number of cases in the province is at 62 663, of which 60 288 people have recovered.

The province recorded 135 more deaths, which brings the total of people who have passed away due to the virus to 2 083.

In the last 24 hours, 72 more Covid-19 cases were recorded of which the majority was recorded in the Sekhukhune district (33). The Mopani district had 15 new cases, Waterberg 14 new cases, Capricorn six new cases and Vhembe four new cases.

Thus far, 249 799 tests have been conducted with 154 470 being done in the private sector and 95 329 in the public sector.

There are currently 292 active cases in the province.
