Alon’s book makes it into school libraries

Tzaneen born author and entrepreneur, Alon Pilusa, has confirmed that his book, Your Dream Matters, will be in Gauteng school libraries.

It will be on the recommended reading list for learners from Grade 7 to Grade 12.

Pilusa told the Herald that he is over the moon with the opportunity given by the department. His book was officially published in 2019 and thousands of copies were sold nationwide.

The book seeks to showcase the importance of chasing one’s dreams and highlights the tools which are vital in realising it.

“I’m overwhelmed with the support I have been receiving from the public, especially considering the fact that I marketed the book myself.

“It was amazing to see the book selling fast without a marketing company,” Pilusa said.

This opportunity came after the department made a call on authors to submit their books in order to be considered as recommended books for learners in Gauteng schools in 2019.
