According to Van’s Auctioneers’ website, online bidding on the 7071ha property will open on Tuesday, 23 February at 12:00 and will close on Wednesday, 24 February at 12:00.
The four star accommodation venue used to be one of Phalaborwa’s flagship tourist attractions.
Its reception building is 3 520m² alone. It further boasts 4 335m² of accommodation, a new golf reception area of 1205 m² for the 18-hole golf course and a pool area of 160m².
It also has squash courts, tennis courts, an old gymnasium and pool, a new gymnasium, a leisure room and kiddies play area and a new 2125m² airconditioned conference building.

A local resident told the Herald that he is not surprised that the facility is liquidated.
“Recently when one visits, you would find that you are the only one there.
“I think they were only making money when government and other big businesses hosted events, but as a tourist attraction it was failing,” he said.
In 2016 the Herald reported that the hotel was left without power for days, due to an alleged non-payment of a multi-million rand debt.

According to a source at the time, hotel management made a deal and a payment of R150 000 saw the lights turned back on.
It was also reported that the golf club had seen a decline in membership in recent years.
It is said that course rules were not user-friendly and local community members, schools and organisations who wanted to have golf days were forced to take their business to Hoedspruit or Tzaneen.
Herald contacted the hotel’s management for comment.
They declined to comment.
