Badly decomposed body of woman discovered

Tzaneen police spokesperson Sgt Maurice Nkhwashu said the matter was reported to the police on Saturday.

“On arrival at the house at about 16:00 on Saturday, the police discovered the badly decomposed body of a woman who was later identified as Jacqueline Michelle Ridland by her friend Marcel Schipper,” he said.

Nkhwashu said her 7-year-old daughter has been lying next to her mother’s decomposed body not knowing what to do or who to call for help as they were living in a secluded area.

According to Nkhwashu, Schipper discovered the body when he went to visit his friend on Saturday.

Police investigation continues.
