Report illegal firearms

Police are appealing to the law abiding citizens to report illegal firearms they are aware of in and around their area.

The wanted firearms include those belonging to people who have died and were not returned to the police by their families.

“When a firearm license owner dies, family members should not handle the firearm at all, but must notify the nearest police station immediately. Do not take the firearm to the police station yourself, instead notify the police about the firearm and they would collect it,” advised the police.

They further emphasised that a firearm belongs to the owner of the license and not to the family.
